Mentioned in "Revelations, Part I"

Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle (22 May 1859 – 7 July 1930) was a Scottish physician and writer, most noted for his stories about private detective Sherlock Holmes, a character he based on James Watson, one of the Five.[1]

Watson insisted that Doyle not use his real name for the detective, so he was written into the story as the assistant instead.
