The Milwaukee Deep is the deepest part of the Atlantic Ocean and is part of the Puerto Rico Trench. It has a maximum depth of at least 27,493 feet (8,380 m), and lies on the southern edge of the famous Bermuda Triangle.
In 2008, Dr. Helen Magnus and Will Zimmerman were in the area aboard the Sanctuary submarine Nautilus to investigate the whereabouts of the merfolk when they encountered the water parasite.[1]
