Morgan Le Fay was the mythological enemy of Merlin in the Arthurian legend.

Legend has it that the Cabal was originally formed by knights who had fallen from King Arthur's grace and in order to redeem themselves helped Merlin to fight Morgan, who was in turn assisted by the Morrigan.^[1]
