Pili is a human member of the Sanctuary Network, the house head of the Cairo Sanctuary.

She and Helen Magnus went to the desert in eastern Egypt to investigate the corpse of a Giant sand ray that had surfaced itself. She had its remains transferred to the Cairo Sanctuary for further study.^[1]

After the Big Bertha crisis, Pili spoke for the council of house heads at a video conference, informing Magnus that she had been confirmed by unanimous vote as head of the global network, and that Terrence Wexford had been removed from his position as head of the New York Sanctuary.^[2]

She was also a member of the Executive Committee.^[3]
