A scarab is a small Abnormal insect that is implanted back of the neck and attaches itself to the brainstem. It proceeds to take control of the hosts' mind and forces them to do the its bidding.

One of these creatures was used by the Cabal to get Gregory Magnus to tell them about his work.^[1]
